Former Manchester United and Liverpool legends have been describing the sheer magnitude of Saturday's encounter between the two clubs.

"It's a massive game for every fan throughout the world," said former United left-back Irwin. "Whether they're in Manchester, Liverpool, Ireland, the Far East or Scandinavia. They all look forward to it - it's between two of the best-supported clubs so it's a huge game, it really is."
Ex-United captain Robson added: "The competitiveness between the two clubs over the years has always been there."
Liverpool stalwart Carragher commented: "It will always be the biggest game because of the history, tradition and trophies won, plus how close the cities are." Prolific Anfield striker Rush concurred, saying: "Worldwide, this is the match that everyone wants to see
